Systems to ISO 9000 - 2000

Course Objectives
Delegates must demonstrate acceptable performance in all the following areas in order to complete the course successfully.  By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

ISO 9000 Classrooma)                  Describe the purpose of a quality management system and explain the 8 quality management principles.

b)                  Explain the purpose, content and interrelationship of ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 9004 and ISO 10011 (or its successor) ISO 19011.

c)                  Interpret requirements of ISO 9001 in the context of an audit

d)                  Describe the roles and responsibilities of auditors and lead auditors

e)                  Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 10011 or its successor ISO 19011, demonstrating ability to:

a.      Plan and prepare effectively

b.      Gather objective evidence, through effective interviewing, observation, sampling and note taking

c.      Analyze and interpret information in order to determine conformance with requirements

f)                    Report the audit, including writing valid, factual and value-adding nonconformity reports

g)                  Undertake audit follow-up activities, including evaluating the effectiveness of corrective action.

Note:  Programme start times may be amended to suit individual course requirements, providing that individual session duration or contents are not affected, and the overall course duration meets the IRCA criteria of a minimum of 40 hours duration exclusive of the two hour examination, refreshment and meal breaks.
